There are 587 species of wildlife, many of which are endangered or protected, that migrate through or make their home in the province.

Keep a lookout for Alberta’s big seven wildlife all-stars – elk, moose, bighorn sheep, grizzly bear, bison, cougar and wolf. You may even be lucky enough to view our more elusive animals such as lynx, bobcat and wolverine.
